NOVEL, TX: THE HILL COUNTRY WRITERS SERIES AT SCHREINER UNIVERSITY

A big thank you to all who attended the second annual gathering of Novel, TX!

My first talk supporting AZURE is in the books!

Novel, TX: The Hill Country Writers Series at Schreiner University, my first speaking engagement in support of my novel AZURE Death in Texas Hill Country, could not have been more enjoyable!

Thanks to Peggy at the bookstore, seating was set up in a nice conversational circle. The audience of students, friends, good folks from the community and my family listened to me talk about my novel, the writing process and why telling a story in an authentic Hill Country voice is important to me. The crowd asked some great, thought provoking questions and, more importantly, they laughed at all the right times.

Many thanks to my super, up-for-anything friend Lori for shooting the video. Neither of us knew a thing about Facebook Live, which is probably a good thing. I may or may not have mentioned I’d be talking so long when she offered to shoot it, but I think she did a fabulous job (although I haven’t had the nerve to watch it)!
